Market Volatility

Many people believe investing is about 'timing the market' – getting in before prices rise, enjoying the ride up and then getting out before prices fall.

Yet anticipating these market moves can be extremely difficult because no two market cycles are the same. Investors' emotions make successful market timing even harder.

Why do you need personal financial advice?

  • Helps you to plan rather than react to changing financial needs and situation.
  • Instils in you a form of financial discipline
  • Repay your home mortgage quicker
  • Minimise your income tax liability
  • Build your nest egg for retirement
  • Avoid adverse financial consequences of traumatic personal events such as death, serious illness, injury and disablement
  • Pass-on inheritance with ease and tax-efficiency

What does our Financial Advice cost?

  • As with any service, our financial advice does have its cost.
  • It is a requirement that we must tell you in advance, in detail and in writing the costs associated with our Advice and hence no unpleasant surprises.
  • Unlike you paying a tax agent for a one year’s tax return, financial advice is much wider in scope and longer in time horizon, yet you have the choice to restrict the scope or discontinue when you do not need it any longer.
  • Typically financial advice costs comprise three elements - the cost of preparing the Financial Plan (known as the Statement of Advice), the cost of implementing the recommendations and the cost of ongoing service year after year.
  • You also have the opportunity to assess the value of our financial advice versus its cost. You will be pleasantly surprised to realise that Good Advice is Money Well Spent.
